City Directories       People have asked us, "What is a city directory good for"? Our reply is simply, "What would you do today to find someone if you didn't have a telephone book"?      For those of us that have used the city directories and have found family, when no other resource could do that for us, we know very well how important the old city directories are in research.      We hope you find our city directories to be the wonderful research tool that so many others have.      The City Directories on our site to date are for the City of Portland, 1863 - 1876.
